Golden Sands

Golden Sands is a national seaside resort complex, located 17 km north-east of Varna. The coast region is elevated and forested and slopes down terrace-like to the sea. The beach is almost 4 km long, wide and covered with fine golden-yellow sand. The sea bottom is comparatively steep-sloped. Several hot-water mineral springs are used for healing and prophylactic purposes.


The resort is one of the most attractive areas for tourism in Bulgaria and has traditionally attracted visitors from every part of the world. Its visitors can benefit from the luxury of the resort all the year round, with many restaurants, sports and entertainment sites, swimming pools, a local resort medical centre, seaside treatment facilities, bungalows, camping grounds, motels and numerous hotels.
