Koprivshtica

The town of Koprivstitsa is situated in the heart of Sredna Gora Mountain, at 1050 meters above the sea level, at the distance of 110 km south-east of Sofia and 80 km north-west of Plovdiv.

The town's greatest wealth are the preserved Revival Period houses with colorful courtyards, surrounded with high stone walls and gates, the disorderly built curved and narrow cobblestone streets and plots. Many of the houses are turned into Museums.

The town is the key point from which to set out on hiking tours to the beautiful Sredna Gora and Stara Planina/Balkan/ Mountains.
