St.Constantin&Elena

The oldest resort on the Bulgarian Black Sea coast is only 9 km North-east of Varna and 479 km East of Sofia.

Its construction began in 1908 in the vicinity of St.St.Konstantin and Elena Monastry and the purpose was to receive patients who were ill with tuberculosis.

The church itself was built at the beginning of the 18th century. Today the monastry building is a hotel and a restuarant with high category.

Accommodation

In the resort there are more than 50 hotels offering accommodation. First to mention is the Varna Grand Hotel with its swimming pools, lobby bars and confectioneries,excellent restuarant, bar, fitness halls and many other facilities which are open to non-residents of the hotel. There is also the Vakantsia Suumer Resort with 25 villas and bungalows. Part of the Scientists Rest Home is used as an hotel called the Julio Currie.

Transport

Regular town buses run every 10 minutes between 0600 and 2300 from the resort to Varna.
